National Starch & Chemical, Manchester, U.K., has won this year’s Food Ingredients South America (FISA) Association “Most Innovative New Food Ingredient” award with Novelose 260. Selected from 50 other new ingredients, Novelose 260—an enzyme and process tolerant resistant starch with a total dietary fiber of 60%—was recognized as an innovative product with tangible benefits for the development of healthy convenience foods.
